e-Invoice template designer for XRechnung, Peppol and EN 16931

Updated: 15 October 2026 · 4 min read

Structured e-invoices such as XRechnung and Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 are XML files. Machines read them easily, people do not. An XSLT stylesheet turns that XML into a clear, branded invoice your customers and accountants can read, approve and print. edXdocu lets you design that layout without writing a line of XSLT.

How it works

  1. Create a free account at edxdocu.com.
  2. Choose the format (for example XRechnung or Peppol BIS 3) and a ready-made template.
  3. Customise visually: drag in your logo, set colours, add bank details and notes.
  4. Preview with your own XML to see real data, long item lists and VAT breakdowns.
  5. Download a watermarked test file for free and try it in your system.
  6. Approve and download the final XSLT and add it to your ERP or e-invoicing platform.
Germany: Since 1 January 2025 all German businesses must be able to receive structured B2B e-invoices, and issuing becomes mandatory in phases from 2027. A clean XRechnung visualisation helps both your team and your customers handle the change.

Pricing

Sign-up, saving and watermarked test downloads are free. Paid plans are one-time payments with no subscription, and credits never expire: One (1 design), Basic (10 designs) and Pro (25 designs). Prices are shown in EUR or GBP outside Turkey. A design credit is only used when you approve a design. The interface is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi, Chinese and Turkish.

FAQ

Why does an XRechnung or Peppol invoice need a template?

The invoice itself is pure XML. An XSLT stylesheet turns it into a readable, branded view for approval, printing and archiving.

Do I need to know XSLT?

No. You customise a ready-made template in a drag-and-drop editor; the XSLT is generated for you.

Is edXdocu an e-invoicing access point?

No. edXdocu designs the invoice layout. Sending and receiving invoices is done by your ERP or Peppol access point.
